After the battle with Zenex and his lackeys, Ryder knew he had to train twice as hard.
“Father. We need to get stronger, faster, when I fought that android… I thought it was going to kill me. I took too much of a beating. I never want to be in a situation where I need to worry if I am going to die during a fight. When can we go into the Time Chamber again?” Kaman gave a great laugh.
“Son, with time you will get stronger for now you just need to be glad the threat has been defeated. And it will be some time before we can enter the Chamber Again. I will let you know when it is safe.” At the end of the statement Ryder looked down.
“I need to be stronger. I need to be the strongest.” And at that Ryder charged Kaman landing a punch to his face. Kaman fell to a knee and looked up at Ryder who was now standing over him with his fists clenched.
“You want to train boy? We will train.” Ryder threw a kick at Kaman’s head only to go through the afterimage of his father. Ryder turned around and threw another punch where he could feel the energy of his father coming from. Once again he punched through the afterimage. Punch after punch kick after kick, Ryder could not land any more hits on his father. Finally from above Kaman called out. “You are going to regret that boy. I say when we train. I am the master. Your power level means nothing to me!” Kaman charged up his power and threw a few Ki blasts at Ryder hitting with all of them. “You may be stronger but I am faster and smarter.” Kaman teleported next to his son and threw a knee into his stomach picking him up off of the ground, and followed up with a double fist attack to the back of his head throwing him into the dirt below. “Get up! If you want to train, get up and train.” Ryder stood to his feet and screamed at the top of his lungs before charging Kaman. Kaman immediately charged back at Ryder. The two collided in the middle, both throwing fists and feet at the other. Blow after blow the two took many hits to different parts of there body. Finally Ryder planted his foot in Kaman’s gut and pushed away immediately putting his hands on his waist.
“Kaaaaa… Meeeee.. Haaaa… Meeeee…. HAAAAAAAA!!!” A blinding flash of light erupted from Ryder’s hands. The wave made contact with Kaman throwing him to the ground. In the center of a crater Kaman laid on his back not moving. Ryder was in the air waiting for his father to move. “I am not going to fall for this old man.” Ryder shouted taunts at his motionless father. “Fine.” Ryder took off at full speed towards his father. “Take this!” Ryder slammed feet first into the ground. When he looked down he noticed no one was under his feet.
“You still have much to learn my boy.” Once again Ryder took a kick to the ribs, followed by a hook to the right side of his face. The blow was so intense he couldn’t see straight. After that Ryder blacked out only to open his eyes while flying through the air.
“Maybe I shouldn’t have gone into it that quick.” Ryder thought to himself right before he slammed into the ground. He slowly stood up rubbing his chin. “Come here dad.” They both charged each other getting into another punching and kicking battle.
“You know you can’t beat me, and you aren’t making progress.” Ryder was slowly getting mad at Kaman.
“Shut… Up…” Ryder pushed back away from Kaman once more. “Continuous Energy Bullets!” Ryder let out a barrage of Ki Blasts directly at Kaman. “I will be the BEST!!” After the smoked cleared Kaman was down on one knee.
“You are right son. You are going to be the best. One day, but until you learn to channel your anger, instead of lashing out, you will never be the best. Just another has been Saiyan Warrior. We are done.” Kaman stood up and walked away from Ryder. Ryder sat down where he stood. He began to meditate.
“He is right. Then again, he always is.”
