Ryder sat in silence with Kaman while they ate dinner. Kaman would usually tell Ryder what he was doing wrong in training during dinner but since the fight in the Time Chamber Kaman was at a lose for words. Suddenly Ryder could sense an energy spike coming closer to where he was.
“Someone is coming.” Ryder stood up walking towards the door. Kaman stayed where he was, not even acknowledging what Ryder said. Suddenly there was a huge explosion that finally got Kaman’s attention. “I am going to check this out.” Ryder walked out of the front door to find two rather large men throwing energy blasts into houses nearby. “Both of their power levels are two thousand. Are you going to help me on this one?” Kaman had one of his slight Grins from the side of his mouth. “I’ll take that as a no. Thanks dad.” Ryder powers up and flies over to the two thugs. “You know I don’t think you should destroy things that don’t belong to you.” The thugs both turned and laughed.
“Look brother! Someone who thinks we should play nice.” They both continued to laugh. “I will take him myself.” The first thug charged at Ryder and landed a blow to his stomach. He then followed it up with a kick to the left knee and a headbutt to the forehead. “Come on kid! You’re going to have to fight back sometime today!”
“Yea son! Hit his fist like that a couple more times! You will hurt him eventually.” Kaman gave out a loud laugh. Ryder rolled his eyes in disgust.
“You might want to listen to your pops boy. You’re way out of your league.”
“I don’t think you realize who you are fighting buddy. KAAA!” Ryder unleashed a barrage of Ki Blasts at the thug. Covering him in energy and clouds of smoke and dust. The other thug realized this was not good for his brother so he immediately charged Ryder. “Not smart pal.” Ryder threw a kick at the incoming thug only to kick through an afterimage and get nailed in the back with a double fist attack. Ryder flew to the ground and landed on his knee and both hands. Standing up without hesitation was second nature to him after all the training sessions with Kaman. He turned around and pulled his hands to his waist. “KAMEHAMEHAAA!!” The Energy blast roared towards the thug how jumped out of the way just in time.
“You’re pretty strong.” The thug looked over to try and find his brother. After scanning the area he saw his brother lying on the ground bloody and beaten. “But I am not going to let you attack my brother like that!” The thug charged Ryder one more time. This time he grabbed him by the hair not letting him fly away and started landing strike after strike with his knee. After six strikes to the gut the thug threw Ryder down into the ground creating a small crater. “You aren’t strong enough to beat me, and when I get my brother back up we are going to crush you like a bug along with your father!” Ryder stood up and put one hand in the air while trying to hold himself up after the beating he just took. “You still have something left?”
“DISTRUCTO….” The thug once again charged Ryder. “DISK!!!” As the thug drew closer a giant disk formed in Ryder’s hand. He pulled back and threw it at the thug, Making contact with his chest cutting him in half. The thug fell to the ground obviously beaten. When Ryder turned to make sure the other thug was beaten too he noticed his body was gone. “He’ll be back. I can count on that.”
“See what you can do when you set your mind to it boy.” Ryder walked over to where his father was standing.
“I am going to bed.” Then Ryder walked into the house and fell onto the couch. “I am starting to get fed up with this crap.”
